MYNDY · Mental fitness for female and non-binary founders

Introducing Wingmate

Because founding
is not a
solo sport.

For female and non-binary founders running a whole company on one brain with 47 open tabs. Wingmate is 8 founders who get it, helping each other and training our mindset to spend less time in the lows and more time feeling focused, energized and resilient. One hour a week, plus a 1–3 minute daily brain workout you can do between the investor follow-up and the client who wants “just 23 quick tweaks” to a signed contract.

I’ve been a founder for seven years, which in founder years is roughly 94.

Here’s what nobody puts in the pitch deck: founding is a group project where you are the whole group. In one regular Tuesday, you might:

  • Close a client before lunch, then celebrate with a granola bar over the keyboard.
  • Answer 241 emails and star 38 more to “deal with later.” (You will not deal with them later.)
  • Vibe-code a whole website at 11pm because the agency quote had a comma in it.
  • Draft two legal documents, acting as your own lawyer, armed with one template and three browser tabs of “is this legally binding.”
  • Walk into a networking event, say “I’m a founder” with a straight face, and leave with 11 business cards and zero memory of names.
  • Rewrite your pricing page for the 14th time, then fix the office Wi-Fi, because you are also the IT department.

I studied stress at MIT, did the JPMorgan spreadsheets and the fast-scaling EdTech chaos, and now I’m building MYNDY while being a brand-new mom. The hardest part was never the work. It was the 11pm voice insisting everyone else has it figured out. (Spoiler: they don’t. I have the research to prove it. It’s a little further down this page.)

Being a female or non-binary founder comes with a bonus round. The investor who asks how you’ll avoid losing money, right after asking the guy before you how big it could get. The client who calls you “aggressive” for sending an invoice on time. The networking event where someone asks who your business partner is. (It’s you. You’re the partner.)

So I’m building the room I wanted: 8 founders, one hour every Monday. Bring the real stuff: the client who ghosted, the co-founder conversation you keep rehearsing in the shower, the pricing page you’ve rewritten 14 times. We’ll train the mindset that holds up under all of it, together.

You don’t need another hustle podcast. You need a team.

So do I. With heart,
Lissy

The research

You’re not
imagining it.

If building a company feels heavier than the LinkedIn posts make it look, there’s a reason. Several, actually. With footnotes.

72%

You’re in the majority. You don’t have to be alone in it.

In a study of 242 entrepreneurs, 72% dealt with mental health challenges, either their own or a close family member’s. Founding is hard on brains. That’s the job talking, not a personal flaw.

Freeman, Staudenmaier, Zisser & Andresen, Small Business Economics (2019)

78%

Your people are part of the business plan.

In a survey of 2,225 female founders, 78% said human connection is central to their founder journey, and peer networks topped the list of support that actually works. Turns out the secret weapon isn’t another app subscription. It’s each other.

The Rise Report, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University (2026)

7x

Mindset is a skill, and it pays.

Investors asked female founders mostly “how will you avoid losing?” questions (66% of them). Startups asked mostly “how big could this get?” raised about 7x more. The plot twist: founders who answered with a growth reframe raised significantly more.

Kanze, Huang, Conley & Higgins, Academy of Management Journal (2018)

Founder mindset is everything.

“Especially in business, if you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.”
Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, in The New York Times (1985)

How each session runs

One hour a week.
Reps every day.

Fearlessness is something we can learn, “a muscle we can develop.” — Arianna Huffington, founder of HuffPost and Thrive Global

01 · Check in

Celebrate the wins nobody posted about.

Every session opens with a check-in and a win that didn’t make it to LinkedIn. Yes, finally sending that invoice counts.

Why it works: your brain is wired to spot what went wrong. Naming wins out loud trains it to notice what went right.

02 · Build the mindset

Proven tools for the founder brain.

We start with the basics every founder brain runs on: building energy when you’re running on fumes, and focus, why it’s your most valuable (and most stolen) asset. Then we tackle the rest: imposter syndrome, rejection, and pricing yourself without apologizing.

Why it works: mindset isn’t a personality trait. It’s a skill, and skills get stronger with reps.

03 · Help each other

Bring a real ask. Get 7 brains.

One founder brings a real ask (an intro, feedback on a pitch, a gut check on a hire) and the group shows up for it. Then everyone sets one small goal. Small like “send 5 follow-ups.” Not “close a Series A by Friday.”

Why it works: “me too” beats doomscrolling at 11pm, and a goal you say out loud to 7 people is harder to ghost.

04 · Workout

Daily reps in the MYNDY app.

Short mental fitness practices on your phone: before the pitch, after the “we’ve decided to go another direction” email, or between back-to-back calls.

Why it works: you don’t get strong from one gym class a week. Your brain doesn’t either.

The
details

The fine print, minus the fine print. Built for real founder calendars (read: color-coded chaos).

For female and non-binary founders who have already started and are building full-time: a services business, a VC-backed startup, a bootstrapped product, a shop or studio. Solo or co-founded, early revenue or payroll-stressed, if this is your full-time gig, you’re in.
  • 8 weeks

8 Monday sessions. Our first group kicked off Oct 26, and the waitlist hears about the next one first. Long enough to build a habit (and a tiny advisory board). Short enough to commit to.

  • 1 hour

Mondays at 4pm ET. Late enough that today’s inbox fire is mostly out. Early enough that you still have words.

  • 1 free skip

Investor call, client emergency, Wi-Fi dies mid-demo. Miss one, no guilt.

  • 8 founders

Small enough that everyone gets real airtime. Big enough to be an actual brain trust.

  • Virtual

Live on Zoom. No pitch deck required. Nobody will ask about your TAM.

  • Any business

Agency, consultancy, startup, shop, studio. If it’s up and running and it’s your full-time gig (customers, investors, or both), you belong here.

What’s
included

The group sessions are the workout. The MYNDY app is where the reps happen.

01

Me, in your corner every week

I lead every session myself and I’m around for all 8 weeks. I did my stress and performance research at MIT, I’m a mental fitness expert and coach, and I’m a founder in the trenches right alongside you.

02

The MYNDY Mental Fitness HIIT app <3

Daily brain workouts in just 1–3 minutes, so the habits stick between Zooms. Like brushing your teeth, for your mind.

03

A founding seat at the table

Tell me what works and what doesn’t, and I’ll build it. Founders helping a founder build a product for founders. Very meta.

04

A group that has your back

39% of female founders named peer networks as the single most effective support they have, ahead of mentorship and coaching. (The Rise Report, 2026) Here’s what that looks like:

  • Liking your slightly cringe LinkedIn post within 30 seconds of posting. No questions asked.
  • Telling you, kindly and firmly, that you are not charging enough.
  • Reading the scary email before you hit send (after you’ve rewritten it 6 times).
  • Celebrating the first client, the first hire, and the first week you didn’t check Stripe 40 times a day.
  • Or simply looking you in the Zoom eyes and saying: you’ve got this.

  • No pitch. No panel. No one asking “so what’s your exit strategy?”
  • Eight founders. Zero “per my last email” type B.S.
  • The only founder group without fake-positive status updates.

Founding price $40

Why $40? Real talk: I’m building the MYNDY app, and I need founders in the room to build it with. You get the group. I get your honest feedback. Founder-to-founder fair trade!?
